Jet Plasma Facial: How Long Results Last (6–12 Months) & How to Extend
By Glenn Emery Skincare | July 19, 2026
We hear this question all the time, so here’s the honest answer. A Jet Plasma Facial usually looks best right away, keeps improving over the next 4–12 weeks, and typically lasts about 6–12 months, with collagen support continuing out to roughly 12–18 months for a lot of people. And yes, we’ve had people tell us their skin “glows and feels amazing” after just two weeks on our skincare, which matters a lot for how long your results stick around.

Quick context: Your appointment is 60 minutes and the treatment is pain-free with zero downtime. We’re in Downtown Martinez near Main Street, the waterfront, and the courthouse, so it’s easy to fit in and still keep your day moving.
The real Jet Plasma timeline, week by week (and what changes it)
Most people notice a “tighter” look and smoother texture immediately after Jet Plasma. That early glow is real, and we’ve had clients tell us they’re still glowing a week later. Then your skin keeps building on that initial bounce as collagen signaling ramps up.
Day 1–3: You typically look fresher right away. People often mention softer, smoother skin and that “clean and healthy” feeling.
Week 1–4: Texture and pore appearance often keep improving. We’ve had clients notice tightening around the eyes and even a reduction in the look of dark circles by day two.
Week 4–12: This is where a lot of people hit their “peak” improvement. Lines can look softer, pigment can look calmer, and skin tends to look more even.
Month 6–12: This is the most common durability window we see discussed clinically. Some people maintain improvement closer to 12–18 months, especially when they’re consistent with sunscreen and supportive skincare.
Martinez note: Our mild, sunny Mediterranean climate is amazing, but UV is the fastest way to fade your investment. Year-round SPF is not optional if you want your plasma facial longevity to stay on the longer end.
Jet Plasma aftercare that actually extends results (not just “nice to have”)
Jet Plasma is safe for all skin types, pain-free, and has no downtime. That doesn’t mean aftercare doesn’t matter. The people who stay happiest the longest are the ones who stay consistent at home. We also take sensitivities seriously. We’ve had clients with allergies tell us we’re able to accommodate them, and that matters because irritation is one of the easiest ways to lose your glow early.
Our longevity checklist (save this)
- SPF 30+ broad spectrum, every morning. Reapply if you’re outdoors. This is the #1 difference between 6 months and 12 months for a lot of skin.
- Gentle cleanse for the first few days. Keep it simple. No aggressive scrubs, no “squeaky clean” feeling.
- Barrier-first moisturizer. Think hydration and comfort. We often pair hydration support like hyaluronic acid with skin-calming steps so you keep that plump look.
- Hold strong actives until your skin is settled. Retinoids and acids too early can backfire. Let us know what you’re using and we’ll give you a clean re-entry plan.
- Add antioxidants once you’re healed. Vitamin C is a favorite for brightness support and helps defend against day-to-day environmental stress.
- Hydration and sleep count. It sounds basic because it is. Skin that’s run-down tends to show it sooner.
- Skip excess heat right after. Hot yoga, saunas, and long steamy showers can irritate freshly treated skin. Give it a little breathing room.
"The discoloration is 50% less, my skin is tighter, lifted, and feels so soft and dewy."

The 4 things that fade Jet Plasma results early (and the simple fix)
If you’ve ever felt like your skin snaps back too fast after a facial, it usually comes down to a few repeat patterns. We’ll be straight with you about them because it saves you money and frustration.
- Unprotected sun exposure: Even short bursts add up in Martinez. Fix: SPF daily, plus a hat when you’re out walking the waterfront.
- Starting retinoids too soon: Irritation can dull that smooth look. Fix: wait until your skin is calm, then reintroduce slowly.
- Smoking: It’s tough on collagen and circulation. Fix: any reduction helps, and pairing your treatment with consistent home care becomes even more important.
- Inconsistent home routine: You don’t need 12 steps. Fix: cleanser, moisturizer, SPF, plus one targeted serum once healed.
When to rebook Jet Plasma (and what we’ll do in your 60 minutes)
If you love that lifted, brighter look, we usually talk maintenance in the 6–12 month range. Some people come in sooner when they’re working on pores, pigment, or that “tired skin” look. And if you’re building results with a series, we’ll map it out so you’re not guessing.
During your appointment, we keep it focused. We look at what your skin is doing right now, we pick the right approach, and we keep you comfortable the whole time. People mention the room feeling calm and clean, and yes, we’ve been known to bring out the comforter so you can actually relax.
