Jet Plasma Facial Aftercare for Your Bundle of 3 Treatments (First 7 Days)
By Glenn Emery Skincare | September 18, 2026
The most important rule after your Jet Plasma session is simple: for the first 72 hours, keep your skin clean and hydrated, don’t sweat heavily, don’t pick, and stay out of direct sun. I’m in Downtown Martinez, and that mix of morning marine layer and strong late morning sun can sneak up on freshly treated skin fast.
Quick reminder for this bundle: you’ll get the best cumulative change when each session builds on the last. That means calm, protected skin between visits, not “testing” new products every week.
First 24 to 48 hours: gentle cleansing, zero heat, and no makeup
Right after Jet Plasma, your skin is usually a little reactive. Some people describe a light tingling sensation during the service, and it’s normal to look a bit pink afterward. This is not the time to “power through” with hot yoga, a long hot shower, or a new exfoliating serum.
What to do the day you leave my room
- Cleanse gently with a mild, non-fragranced cleanser and lukewarm water. Pat dry, don’t rub.
- Moisturize with a simple, fragrance-free moisturizer. Think comfort, not “active ingredients.”
- If you’re going outside in Martinez, apply mineral SPF 30+ and avoid direct sun. Overcast mornings at the waterfront can still turn into bright midday exposure.
What not to do (this is where most setbacks happen)
- Skip makeup for at least 24 to 48 hours unless I’ve told you otherwise. Freshly treated skin does best when it can breathe.
- Avoid heavy sweating, strenuous exercise, swimming, and saunas for 48 to 72 hours. Sweat and heat tend to increase irritation.
- No scrubs, brushes, or exfoliating tools. No picking at dry patches.
Common question: “How soon can I wash my face after plasma pen treatment?” For Jet Plasma, I generally want you washing gently the same day or next day, but keep it simple. If you’re unsure about timing based on what we did in your session, call or email me and I’ll answer it quickly.
Days 3 to 7: protect the glow, don’t “attack” texture
This is the week where people tend to get excited because their skin starts looking brighter, tighter, and softer. I’ve had clients tell me they noticed improvement around day five, especially in areas like fine lines and hyperpigmentation. That’s exactly why you want to stay consistent, because irritation can blur those wins.
Sun is still the big one. Keep mineral SPF 30+ on deck for at least 1 to 2 weeks. Reapply when you’re outdoors, even if you’re just walking Main Street or heading toward the county courthouse. Martinez weather can fool you, and “just a quick errand” turns into a lot of exposure.
- Pause retinoids and acids for 1 to 2 weeks. That includes most retinol, tretinoin, glycolic, lactic, and salicylic products.
- Avoid waxing and aggressive facial treatments in the treated area until your skin is calm again.
- Keep showers warm, not hot. Heat often brings redness back.
If you’re planning a downtown Martinez day like the farmers market or a waterfront walk, schedule your Jet Plasma appointment so you have a quiet aftercare window first. You’ll enjoy your plans more when you’re not worrying about sweat, sun, and touching your face.
The simple routine between sessions (this is what keeps the bundle working)
This package is three 90-minute treatments, and the spacing matters. I typically schedule Jet Plasma sessions about 4 to 6 weeks apart, so your skin has time to respond. Between appointments, your job is not to “do more.” Your job is to protect the progress.
AM: protect
Gentle cleanse (or just rinse if you’re dry), moisturizer, then mineral SPF 30+. If you’re commuting from Walnut Creek, Concord, or Pleasant Hill, keep SPF in your bag so you can reapply.
PM: repair
Gentle cleanse, moisturizer. If you use stronger actives, keep them paused until your skin feels settled and I’ve cleared you to bring them back.
People often search “plasma face lift near me” or “skin tightening near me” because they want visible change without big downtime. Jet Plasma can be a great option for that, and your consistency is what helps those tightening and brightening results stack across all three sessions.
And if you’re mixing services like fibroblast plasma skin tightening, plasma pen work, red light therapy, or something like a lip flip, let me map out the timing so you’re not over-stressing your barrier.
Downtime and results: what’s normal with Jet Plasma (and what’s not)
Jet Plasma downtime is usually minimal, but “minimal” doesn’t mean “no rules.” You might have redness, sensitivity, or a tight feeling. That often settles within a few days if you keep things calm and avoid heat and actives.
A question I hear a lot is: how long does it take to see results from jet plasma? Some people see an immediate glow and a tighter look the same day. Others notice the more meaningful changes, like improved fine lines or brighter tone, around day five and beyond. With your bundle, I’m looking for gradual, repeatable improvement each session, not a one-day “flash.”
“Your skin is glowing! What are you doing to it?”

Call us if you notice: worsening redness after the first couple days, increasing warmth, swelling, pus, fever, or pain that feels sharp and escalating. I’d rather you reach out early so I can guide you.
Keep your 3-session plan on track in Martinez (and reach me fast if you’re unsure)
If something feels off, don’t guess and don’t Google yourself into a spiral. Email or call and tell me what you’re seeing and what you used on your skin. I’m big on clear communication, and I’ll tell you straight if something is normal, if you should simplify, or if you need to be seen.
I work with a lot of busy East Bay schedules. If you’re coming in from Benicia, Port Costa, Pacheco, Concord, Pleasant Hill, or Walnut Creek, I’ll help you time your visits so your aftercare window fits real life. People commuting on I-680 or riding Amtrak appreciate that.
Need help between sessions? I’m here. If you’re deciding between a cold plasma facial, fibroblast skin tightening East Bay services, an eyelid lift plan, or a non surgical face lift approach, I’ll walk you through what makes sense for your skin and your timing.
